पहले पाकिस्तान दिवस पर पाक उच्चायोग जाने, फिर ट्वीट कर खुन्नस निकालने और फिर इस्तीफे की खबरों और उसके बाद उसके खंडन जैसी खबरों ने वीके सिंह को उलझाए रखा और उनकी छवि को बेहद निगेटिव बनाया. मीडिया में उनसे सरकार नाराजगी खबरों ने भी उन्हें नुकसान पहुँचाया.
कश्मीर मुद्दे पर पाकिस्तान से द्विपक्षीय संबंधों पर भारत की विदेश नीति सोमवार को कई पड़ावों से गुजरी. भ्रामक नीति के चलते कश्मीर पर खासी किरकिरी हुई. पाकिस्तान दिवस पर पाक उच्चायोग के समारोह में अलगाववादी नेताओं को बुलाने पर एक तरफ तो विदेश मंत्रलय ने तल्ख लहजे में कहा कि पाकिस्तान से उसके रिश्तों में हुर्रियत की कोई भूमिका नहीं हो सकती. लेकिन उसी जलसे में शाम को बतौर सरकार के प्रतिनिधि खुद विदेश राज्यमंत्री वीके सिंह पहुंच गए. वह भी ‘सरकारी फैसले’ पर अपनी खिन्नता जताने से नहीं चूके. हुर्रियत नेताओं की मौजूदगी में सिंह की शिरकत ने सरकार की कश्मीर नीति पर कई सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं.

Barely two hours after attending the Pakistan National Day reception as the Indian government’s representative, Minister of State (External Affairs) Gen V K Singh (retd) posted a series of cryptic tweets on Monday defining “duty” and “disgust”. While he made no direct references, the tweets indicated his discomfiture at having been deputed to attend an event at the Pakistan High Commission that was also attended by Hurriyat leaders. The series of five tweets, under the tags ‘duty’ and ‘disgust’, came on a day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his greetings to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif, expressing conviction that all outstanding issues could be resolved through “bilateral” dialogue.

पाकिस्तान दिवस पर पाक उच्चायोग के समारोह में शामिल होने के मामले में विदेश राज्यमंत्री वी. के. सिंह ने कहा, ‘इस कार्यक्रम में शामिल होकर मैंने केवल शिष्टाचार निभाया और 15 मिनट में लौट आया. मीडिया इस मुद्दे को बेवजह तूल दे रहा है.

पाकिस्तानी उच्चायोग में आयोजित समारोह में शामिल होने पर विदेश राज्यमंत्री वीके सिंह के नाराजगी भरे ट्वीट ने पाकिस्तान के मोर्चे पर मोदी सरकार की किरकिरी करा दी. इस मामले पर हुई फजीहत के बाद सरकार और भाजपा वीके सिंह से बेहद नाराज है.

वीके सिंह बोले, नहीं की इस्तीफे की पेशकश

वीके सिंह ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस कर ट्वीटर विवाद पर सफाई दी. वीके सिंह ने कहा कि उनके इस्तीफे की खबरें बेबुनियाद हैं. उन्होंने कोई इस्तीफे की पेशकश नहीं की है.

विदेश राज्यमंत्री वीके सिंह ने अपने इस्तीफे की पेशकश का खंडन कर दिया है. पाक उच्चायोग के समारोह में शामिल होकर विवादों में छाए वीके सिंह ने प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस करके कहा, मैंने कभी इस्तीफे की पेशकश नहीं की.

विदेश राज्यमंत्री जनरल वीके सिंह ने पाकिस्तान राष्ट्रीय दिवस समारोह में शामिल होने के बाद किए गए ट्वीट पर आज स्पष्ट किया कि वह इस्तीफा नहीं देने जा रहे है और उनके ट्वीट का गलत मतलब निकाला गया है.
