कुम्मानाम राजशेखरन को केरल के एक प्रमुख हिन्दू नेता में शुमार किया जाता है. कोट्टायम की आइमायम के कुम्मानाम गाँव में जन्मे राजशेखरन ने स्नातक करने के बाद पत्रकारिता में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट डिप्लोमा किया. अविवाहित हैं और इनकी छवि हिन्दू कट्टर की मानी जाती है. 1974 इन्होंने पत्रकारिता की शुरुआत की और केरल के कई प्रमुख दैनिकों में काम किया. फिर इसके बाद पत्रकारिता छोड़कर फ़ूड कारपोरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया में 1987 में नौकरी कर ली. इसके बाद ये नौकरी भी छोड़ दी और राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के फुल टाइम प्रचारक हो गए.
