छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री रमन सिंह की लोकप्रियता पर इस बार चावल वितरण घोटाला भारी पड़ता नज़र आया. इंडियन एक्सप्रेस ने 10 मार्च को लिखा- Chhattisgarh PDS rice scam: probe widens as police find a list with names, alleged bribes- The Chhattisgarh anti-corruption bureau (ACB), which is probing irregularities in supply of rice for the public distribution system (PDS) in the state, is scrutinising an alleged balance sheet which lists, among others, senior IAS officers and personal assistants to the food minister and chief secretary as beneficiaries of illegal commissions. The five-page balance sheet, recovered by the ACB from the office of Girish Sharma, personal assistant to Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies Corporation managing director Anil Tuteja (Sharma has since been suspended and Tuteja removed), also has references to individuals which, it is alleged, point to Chief Minister Raman Singh’s wife, sister-in-law and personal assistant. But the ACB says the inferences being drawn to involve the Chief Minister are not correct. अगले दिन फिर इंडियन एक्सप्रेस ने लिखा- Slamming the BJP government in Chhattisgarh for shielding the PDS rice scam accused, the Congress on Tuesday demanded the immediate resignation of Chief Minister Raman Singh to ensure a free and fair probe and a comprehensive and time-bound inquiry by a judge of either the High Court or the Supreme Court.
नवभारत टाइम्स- छत्तीसगढ़ में पीडीएस के तहत चावल वितरण घोटाला सामने आने के बाद मुख्यमंत्री रमन सिंह की मुश्किलें बढ़ती दिख रही हैं. कांग्रेस ने सरकार पर हमले तेज कर दिए हैं. कांग्रेस के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष भूपेश बघेल ने आरोप लगाया, ‘यह एक लाख करोड़ से अधिक का मामला है. इसमें सीधे-सीधे मुख्यमंत्री रमन सिंह शामिल हैं. इस मामले की जांच होनी चाहिए. हम इस मुद्दे को लेकर जनता के बीच जा रहे हैं. 16 तारीख से हम विधानसभा का घेराव भी करेंगे.’ नयी दुनिया ने लिखा- कांग्रेस पार्टी ने छत्तीसगढ़ में पीडीएस (जनवितरण) प्रणाली में हुए घोटाले को लेकर राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री रमन सिंह का इस्तीफा मांगा है. देशबंधु ने 12 मार्च को अपनी वेबसाईट पर लिखा- राज्यपाल के अभिभाषण पर चर्चा का जवाब देते हुए मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. रमन सिंह ने कहा है कि भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ हमारी लड़ाई जारी रहेगी. इसके लिए राज्य शासन द्वारा अपने पूरे सिस्टम को लगातार पारदर्शी बनाया गया है. भर्ती प्रक्रिया, चाहे सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली हो, चाहे टेंडरिंग और भुगतान की समस्त प्रक्रियाओं को हमने ऑनलाईन किया है. मुख्यमंत्री ने यह भी कहा कि सिस्टम को और भी अधिक पारदर्शी बनाया जाएगा. मुख्यमंत्री आज विधानसभा में राज्यपाल के अभिभाषण पर धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव को लेकर पक्ष-विपक्ष के सदस्यों की चर्चा का जवाब दे रहे थे.
