मोदी सरकार में केंद्रीय मंत्री मेनका गांधी ने मंत्रालयों के ऑफिसों को साफ करने के लिए फिनायल की जगह गौनायल का इस्तेमाल करने की सलाह की वजह से इस सप्ताह चर्चा में रही. विदेशी मीडिया ने भी मेनका की इस कोशिश को तरजीह दी.
Ms. Gandhi wrote a letter this month urging her cabinet colleagues to switch from phenyl to “gaunyle,” a word used to describe urine-based cleaners. “I would request you to replace phenyl, which is currently being used in your ministry and is chemically bad for environment, with Gaunyle,” Ms. Gandhi wrote, according to the report.

इस महीने के शुरू में लिखे अपने पत्र में केंद्रीय महिला और बाल विकास मंत्री मेनका गांधी ने ‘गौनाइल’ को पर्यावरण के अनुकूल बताते हुए कहा है कि यह केंद्रीय भंडारों में उपलब्ध है.

केंद्रीय महिला और बाल विकास मंत्री मेनका गांधी ने सरकारी दफ्तरों में फर्श की सफाई के लिए फिनाइल की जगह गोमूत्र से बने ‘गोनाइल’ के इस्तेमाल की वकालत की है. केंद्रीय मंत्री ने कहा कि फिनाइल रासायनिक तौर पर पर्यावरण के लिए नुकसानदेह है. अपने कैबिनेट सहकर्मियों को लिखे पत्र में मेनका ने उनसे अनुरोध किया है कि वह गोमूत्र से बने गोनाइल का इस्तेमाल शुरू करें क्योंकि यह पर्यावरण के लिहाज से अच्छा है. महिला और बाल विकास मंत्री ने कहा कि केंद्रीय भंडार में गोनाइल रखने की शुरुआत हो चुकी है. पत्र में मेनका ने लिखा है, ‘आपके मंत्रालय में फर्श की सफाई के लिए अभी फिनाइल इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है, जो रासायनिक तौर पर पर्यावरण के लिए हानिकारक है. इसकी जगह आप गोनाइल का इस्तेमाल शुरू करें. फिनाइल सस्ता द्रव्य है, जिसका सफाई के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर इस्तेमाल होता है.
