Bulandshahr: Two women and a four-year-old girl were crushed to death after a speeding UP roadways bus on the wrong side hit an au-to-rickshaw on NH-334 in Bulandshahr on Sunday. A man was critically injured. Police said the incident took place around 1.30 pm near Jainpur on NH-334-connecting Bulandshahr wi-th Haridwar “The UP road-ways bus was en route to Sita pur. It was on the wrong side of the highway at the time of the incident. The bus driver managed to flee, and the vehi cle was seized,” circle officer Bhaskar Mishra said. “The place where the ac cident took place comes un-der Gulaothi police limits. Soon after the distress call, police rushed to the site. An FIR under BNS sections of rash driving and causing death due to negligence was registered against the bus driver on the complaint from the victim’s family. Ap propriate actions will be taken,” Mishra said. Sarfaraz Ali, a local, said Aasiya (55), her son Nazim (32) and granddaughter Nehmat (4) were on their way home after seeing her ailing relative, “The bus hit the auto-rickshaw, killing Aasiya, Nehmat and anoth-er passenger Raziya (38). Nazim was left injured. All were from Gulaothi, and were returning from Bu-landshahr,” Ali said, claim-ing. “an ambulance reached rea nearly an hour later”.
