Pratapgarh: Citing the judicial commission report on the 2024 Sambhal violence, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Friday that Hindus were selectively targeted during the regimes of Samajwadi Party and Congress in the state. He accused the two parti-es of conspiring to change the demography of the western UP district. “The judicial commission submitted its report on the Sambhal incident on Thursday, revealing parts of how a conspiracy for riot unfolded in 2024. During the tenure of the SP and Congress, Hindus were selectively targeted, their number was reduced, they were continuously subjected to oppression, and areas were made Hindu-free through riots,” Yogi said while addressing a public rally at the GIC ground after launching 186 development projects worth Rs 570 crore in Pratapgarh on Friday.”But there is a double engine government in place today, which will not allow the demography to change. Whoever dares to change the demography will be forced to flee because every citizen is now getting the benefits of government schemes without any discrimination,” he said. “We are now moving towards ‘santushtikaran (satisfaction), and not ‘tushtikaran’ (appeasement),” he added.
