Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) “own people” and workers are not getting jus-tice in Uttar Pradesh. His comments came after a video of BJP leader and former MP Anil Shukla Warsi protesting at a police station in Kanpur over an alleged fake case under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Act against a BJP supporter
went viral. “No one is heard in the BJP government. Their own people are not getting justice. Even the Deputy CM was being scolded,” said Mr. Yadav, while ad-dressing media persons in Kannauj. In the purported video, Mr. Warsi, while talking to Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak over phone, questioned him for “failing to provide security to the Brahmin community”. Mr. Warsi’s wife, Pratibha Shukla, is a junior Minister in Uttar Pradesh.
