New Delhi: Accusing the central and UP govts of rigging Milkipur bypoll, Sam ajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said the Election Commission was “dead” and should be co vered with “white cloth” (as coffin) because it failed to ensure free and fair election despite innumerable comp laints from SP on the polling day and earlier as well.”I had to come to Parliament else I would have bro-ught a white cloth to cover the Election Commission,” Akhilesh said.Later, the SP chief along with all party MPs, staged a protest carrying a white she. et cloth in hand with Chunav Ayog written on it.Akhilesh said a select set of officers were posted in Ay odhya for the Milkipur by. poll, three of whom are rela tives of senior BJP functio-naries and govt officials,’Officers in Ayodhya we re posted on the basis of the ir caste.
