Lucknow: Minister for export proportion, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi on Wednesday said that UP’s new export promotion policy (2025-30) will turn out to be a boon for the state.
“The policy will go a long way in doubling exports from the state, which will also increase on the national scale,” he said. The policy targets increasing exports from 21 billion dollars in 2024 to 50 billion dollars by 2030. “This will benefit exporters associated with the one districts one product scheme,” he said. exporters associated with the one districts one product scheme,” he said. One of the key advantages will show up in the form of a boost to infrastructure development. “Dedicated support for infrastructure development and strengthening of logistics will help in positioning the state better in global markets, face competition and reduce transaction costs,” he said. Mentioning that it will propel the expansion of the exporter base, Nandi said: “The policy aims to increase the number of registered exporters by 50%, ensuring broader participation from districts and sectors, including MSMEs and first-time exporters.” Nandi said that for this, the policy addresses the challenge of UP being a double landlocked state.
