सियासत के माहिर खिलाड़ी शरद पवार जिस बेहतरीन अंदाज़ में गोटियाँ बिछाते हैं उसे समझना आसान नहीं है. नरेन्द्र मोदी की शिवसेना से बढ़ती दूरिया और शरद पवार से बढ़ती निकटता ने टीवी चैनलों और अखबारों में काफी जगह ली.
मोदी और पवार के एक मंच की खबर जो 14 को टीवी चैनलों पर गूंजती रही वो अगले दिन अखबारों में भी कई कालमों फ़ैली दिखाई दी. टाइम्स ऑफ़ इंडिया ने लिखा- Modi sings Pawar’s praises in Baramati- PM Narendra Modi was all praise for NCP founder Sharad Pawar here on Saturday, saying he used to seek the veteran leader’s advice as Gujarat chief minister and has been in regular touch with him since moving to Delhi. The eulogy is in sharp contrast with his stand before last year’s assembly poll when he described NCP as “naturally corrupt party“ and asked people to defeat the chacha-bhatija combine (referring to Pawar and then deputy CM Ajit Pawar). Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the country’s welfare was above party politics, in an attempt to dispel the “media myths” of political undertones to his meeting with Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar at Baramati on Saturday as the two leaders batted for agricultural development. राष्ट्रीय सहारा ने लिखा- मोदी, पवार ने मंच साझा किया, बोले पीएम, ऐसा कोई महीना नहीं बीतता जब मेरी पवार से दो-तीन बार बात न होती हो, बारामती-महाराष्ट्र (भाषा)। महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा चुनाव की कड़वाहट को पीछे छोड़ते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शनिवार को राकांपा नेता शरद पवार के साथ यहां मंच साझा किया और उनके साथ दोपहर का भोजन किया। मोदी ने ऐसा करके राज्य में एक नए संभावित राजनीतिक समीकरण की अटकलों को हवा दी। मोदी ने केंद्र सरकार के उपक्रम कृषि विज्ञान केंद्र में आयोजित किसानों के सम्मेलन में पवार की प्रशंसा की। मोदी ने वहां सब्जियों के लिए एक उत्कृष्टता केंद्र का उद्घाटन किया।
